Schubert uses his unique blend of German wordplay and sharp-tongued juxtapositions to explain the world to us from the perspective of East Germans who have been purified by the West. He expresses his point of view via whimsical tales, false metaphors and altered proverbs, all while asking the difficult questions and breaking accepted thought processes as he drags us into his absurd state of mind.
